My darling, old I may be, wise I still am

My journey has been long and the road dusty

Love hard and strong, Sorrows deep and empty

So much experience so much knowledge

The legacy I leave behind will be within you

Within you - you hold the courage of what could be.

My light you have been, my beacon you are

Beyond the universe and the stars

One day I will look upon you from afar

Within my search for my purpose in life

I never thought the answer was you

Until I held your tiny body in my arms

For the very first time.
