Diane Dickson Guest Editor said "A beautiful story with a really gentle and lovely voice, a voice that is sure and yet tentative. I found it easy to imagine the cottage and the mountains and I loved the idea of this life living there with the wild things. I don't want to spoil this and though the ending was sweet there were parts of it that really did move me to tears. Lovely writing - thanks - Diane"

Suzanne Mays replied saying "So glad you liked it. I once lived way back in the mountains on a dirt road. Beautiful in summer, but in winter it was a sea of mud. Thank you for your kind comments, Suzanne"

Adam West said "I will echo Jay's comments and add that I read this in one sitting at a leisurely pace. Somehow the writing forbade me to read quickly...many thanks Suzanne, for another superb story, Adam."

Suzanne Mays replied saying "I'm glad you liked it, Adam. Years ago I lived at the top of a mountain in a one room house. The clouds would float in the front door and float out the back.I didn't last long, no indoor plumbing!"

Suzanne Mays replied saying "Thank you, Jay. I did have a tree that got struck by lightning and I wanted it so to live. Unfortunatley, it fell on my neighbor's house."
