I was dreaming of going back to the time I had committed my greatest mistake, to change and correct it. It was the time when I left the one and only love of my life due to reasons like misunderstanding and incompatibility. We were always in strife and had believed that we were not meant for each other. But, since then, I have realized that I made a mistake leaving her and living my life without her by my side. Since then, I have been thinking about going back to that time so that things would not be like this, so that she would had not left me, so that she would had not vanished... died.

Alice Pilcher Editor said "Another gem for us from Melford, in a totally different vein to his story Cream of Vengeance. I think we can see from his obvious command of the English language that his intention was to be funny in his last story and no ill meaning was intended by publishing it, as it was, when it was submitted. Well done Melford, you should be proud of yourself. This is a lovely story."

Adam West said "Some quite moving passages - I especially liked this one - It was a paradise to me, then; having someone to love. Seeing someone you love in the very first rays of the sun up to the very last moment of your restless eyes. Having someone who cares for you and who consoles you when you're in the midst of breaking down. Having someone who comforts you after the day's toil. Having someone who listens to your every complaint about how problematic life is in this tiresome world. And, having someone you think misunderstands you but really is only thinking of your welfare and betterment. However, that paradise is lost. Time travel writing is such fun to write isn't it? So many interesting possibilities...many thanks Adam"

Jay Leffew said "Intriguing. I'm always fascinated by the idea of time travel, and how certain incidents might pan out. I'm still not quite convinced that this would end so positively, I reckon this Marco would disappear at 'that' precise moment... but then maybe 'that' is the point at which you stopped...?"
