Jack’s eyes looked back at me from this stranger’s face and his mouth turned down at the corners in mirror image.

‘How long?’ he had my only-child’s voice too.

Lesley Ann Sharrock replied saying "Hi Ahmed. How true. That's the problem with secrets, they have a horrible habit of rearing their ugly heads when least expected."

Jay Leffew said "I've just commented on another story and said, 'It's amazing what you can convey in a few words, isn't it?', or words to that effect. I've also enjoyed some pretty hilarious results from using the 100 tiles of a Scrabble-set. 100 words is an exercise I'd recommend everyone to try; - and the Scrabble is guaranteed to cheer a dismal day!"
