Humans on Earth have a hard life indeed. Even so, glimmers of hope just like stars on a night of endless darkness give them the strength to prevail. But hope alone is not enough to overcome what the cosmos have preordained. No, I speak not of the apocalypse foreseen by the ancient Mayans. Instead, I talk of the inevitable destruction of the world. Devastation of mankind will be caused by none other than the inhabitants of Earth themselves. At this very moment, the seven sins runs amok, causing discord in the minds of susceptible victims. However, blame should not be placed on them for they were once humans too. The only difference were the choices they made. Now, they are unable to overcome their inner sins as the change is irreversible once completed. Regret is the nearest form of repentance available to them. Listen well my child, this is their story.…

Adam West Guest Editor said "I repent. This is top-drawer stuff, Veronica, reminiscent of Brad Pitt et al in Se7en. I smiled when I read~~~~Boys fell at my feet and girls wanted to be me.~~~~Lee Child's Jack Reacher byline is Men want to be him/Women want to be with him - though it could vice-versa - I was hooked and entranced by the inevitability of the fable like narrative - as Peter said you have a great potential - hope you have more for us - many thanks, Adam"

Peter Heppo said "Nice writing Veronica! You have a very vivid and creative mind and you express your story very well. I think as has already been pointed out breaking the story up with paragraphs would improve readability and am not a huge fan starting sentences with 'But" - try "however" as an alternative. These are just minor points though and I think you have enormous potential as a writer. Please give us more for I for one will most definitely read whatever you put up again. Thanks for the delight you provided with this piece ...."

Veronica Tan replied saying "That doesn't sound patronising, it's actually the opposite. I'm really glad you said that. Yup, I read it and I pretty much get what you mean now. It gave me the creeps by the way. Thanks for reading! =)"
