Jay Leffew said "It's really cruel having to cut out some of your story, as I know only too well, but this comes across very well, and as we don't know how much you had to cut out, I don't think you've lost any charm at all; it's lovely; 'though Imagine the original 'conversation' was longer and more tentative at first."

Adam West replied saying "I understand Jacqui - so far I haven't ventured into these micro competeitions because I am not sure I can keep to the limit - but I think you pulled it off here and the elf certainly had the cute factor :-)"

Jacqui Macpherson replied saying "Thank you Adam, although I did feel by the time I edited it to the required word count it had lost most of it's charm. It is quite a discipline to keep to 500 words!"
