A little personal one, I wrote this when my cat passed away, he was my friend and pet and inspiration.

So sick you were, so little I knew, if I knew then

What I know now, I would have rubbed your tummy more often

So deep in my heart you climbed memories would not be enough

You are now in a much better place, flying high above

Words cannot describe how much I am going to miss you

Monday blues will never seem bad as I will now forever feel blue

I end this horrible year with your death - a true nightmare

Before I found you, your life have not been fair

You were left outside without food and lived through the cold and rain

The last two months of your life you had nothing but pain

Yet love never was a problem, you had love and will always have

Through everything up and down, you were so very brave

You spend hours trying to sleep on my lap while I was working on my books
