So sick you were, so little I knew, if I knew then
What I know now, I would have rubbed your tummy more often
So deep in my heart you climbed memories would not be enough
You are now in a much better place, flying high above
Words cannot describe how much I am going to miss you
Monday blues will never seem bad as I will now forever feel blue
I end this horrible year with your death - a true nightmare
Before I found you, your life have not been fair
You were left outside without food and lived through the cold and rain

Through everything up and down, you were so very brave
You spend hours trying to sleep on my lap while I was working on my books
Now you will have a part in my book, all parts of you from your moods to looks
I failed to save you in this world, in my book I will save you
So that the character who loves you will never feel blue
I will always think of you and will miss you forevermore
Until the day I close my eyes not a single day before
