Even though it was raining I kept running. No matter what the consequences would be at school, I had to let him know. At the airport, I saw him just before he left. I yelled his name out, hoping he'd hear me, but even though I yelled as if my lungs would burst, he didn't hear me. I called him one more time before I gave up, and to my surprise, he turned to face me, and just stared at me. I didn't know what to do, all I could manage was a smile, and a goodbye wave. He smiled back at me, as if he didn't want to leave me but had no choice.

The plane started to move as my tears fell slowly down my cheeks. He saw me cry, and he stopped smiling and looked so miserable. My tears wouldn't stop. I couldn't move or talk, and suddenly someone came up to me and asked if I was okay. I wanted to say yes, but my mouth wouldn't move. 'Somebody call a doctor!' a man yelled as loud he could. I wanted to thank him, but everything was a blur of tears. Suddenly I felt as if I was being picked up, and everything went pitch black.
I woke to find myself in hospital and my mother sleeping next to me. When I moved, my mother woke and I saw tears in her eyes.
'I was so worried!' she finally said. 'Your friends were so worried. They came to visit every day. They’re here right now.'
I apologized to her for making her so worried. I should have been more cautious, I said. Then my friends came in.
'Yuu, it's been a month! You have so much homework!'
A smile split my face when I saw my friends, and then someone else came in. My smile froze. He had come back. Everyone left the room, including my mom. He was holding something behind his back. He produced flowers, my favourite kind...chocolate cosmos. I smiled and laughed as he confessed that he loved me too.
