She stared at the form in her hand. It was for the reunion dinner and it was asking her to name who she wanted to sit with. Surely nobody would ever know if she put his name? The seating plans always seemed to be so random at these events. She didn’t even know whether he would be there, it had been such a long time since they had met. Ten years since graduation and they had not kept in touch.

She couldn’t help but feel guilty as she wrote his name. At the same time, she felt her body tingling just seeing it in print. Her heart seemed to skip a beat or two and she felt goose-bumps rising on her arms. She almost dared to whisper the name to herself, but knew she never would have the courage. It was in the past and should be long-forgotten.

He was married now. She knew, because she had been there, hugged him, told…
