There’s a bit of a change going on at Shortbread right now with new blood coming in to replace the old school. Will Thomson has retired as a director, while I am now being advised on the art of co-ordinating a website properly (not before time) by my daughters, Alice and Florence. So you will see a couple of new faces on the Who’s Who page, including that of Rachel Marsh who will be running the second Shortbread Writing Course in Spain in October.

Alice and Florence are also assisting Fiona with the editing queue, which seems to have grown arms and legs over the past month. To help with this, the team has already started to review the story intake process, initially with a cap on the word count for a story submission, and there will no doubt be other streamlining modifications, but, rest assured, they won’t be implemented until we have run them past you first.
