| Life Story: | I love everything English. I have three published children's books. My chapter books, The Christmas Doll and Hydrangea Hill are set in England during the turn of the century. My picture book, In Search of the Robin, is a true tale I had with my sons many years ago during a very cold winter. All my inspiration to become a writer came from reading Rosamunde Pilcher's books. I was never a big reader until I read my first book by her and than I was hooked. I have all her books and I read them over and over again. I have yet to find an author who moves me the way she does. I feel she has been my greatest teacher. Years ago I made a card for her titled, "Believe in Angels." She was my angel because she made me want to write stories. I was thrilled when some months later I got a personal letter from her thanking me for the card. I saved the letter and it is a cherished treasure to me. My wish would be to some day meet Rosamunde Pilcher. I write and illustrate children's picture books as well. I have one published and have six that I have published myself. As an artist I can't stop creating. It is a great gift and burden at the same time. Presently I am illustrating my latest picture book. |
