| Life Story: | Mrs Hawker, my beautiful English teacher once said, 'Stevens your essays have potential'. Wearing (my class mate) at the back of the class said if she had finished the sentence it would have have read 'for making brilliant paper aeroplanes'. I have always wanted to write but the drive to do it has been missing. The hum drum of life gets in the way. I joined a writers group last year and an eminent author in the class said if you can hear the characters in your mind then you have the ability to write. They never stop ! I am a project manager in the Rail industry spending a fare ammount of time on the railway track in the hours of darkness and weekends and I love it. I meet an awful lot of colourful characters which will from time to time surface in my writing. I am a cricket coach, play squash, run, fanatical about golf and have been ballroom dancing for one year now - John Sargeant being my ultimate hero. I have two grown up boys and an adorable wife - she is standing behind me of course ! |
