| Life Story: | I have recently published a series of 4 e-books "Sea Penguin - Tall Tales from the Rocky Outcrop", available on Amazon. Find them by searching "Sea Penguin" on Amazon, or by clicking the links on my blog (http://seapenguin-thecurioussheep.blogspot.com). The distinctive cover art and inside illustrations are by BW Nicol. They are basically badly edited blog posts, all strung together in a rocky narrative - the blog was, incidentally, favourably reviewed in Northwords Now magazine in Spring 2011. The themes include prog rock, killer whales, coracles, pies, processed meats, gentle dark humour, and the Scottish west coast. They worked well - or seemed to - as a blog, with accompanying pictures and music, but as e-books, they are probably unintelligible to the casual reader. Nevertheless I wanted to preserve them in case I delete the blog altogether, which I am regularly tempted to do. The blog has attracted a wide range of readers over the years and I have had a real struggle coping with internet dynamics. It's a new world, and I suppose it's what they call a "learning curve" for many of us. |
