"Hi FionaThanks for getting back on this. I use IE at the office. My main browser at home is Firefox but I've also got Google Chrome and Opera loaded (belt & braces man). I get this problem on all of the browsers, mainly when I use the links from the My Shortbread menu.If nobody else is getting this I'll have to assume that I'm generating some kind of slowness radiation."

"Hi everyone! Shortbread does work better with some browsers than others, so if you are having issues with loading it may be worthwhile trying the site out on Firefox or google chrome. I use google chrome and never have an issue with loading. James is it only certain pages which take awhile to load? Or does it tend to be the majority of the site? "

"I'm afraid I can't be much help here because my connections are usually so slow that I just have to do the, click the button, go and put the kettle on, click the button, get the cup ready, click the button... and on, so I'm just happy when the thing works. I have to say that I haven't had any problems with this site in particular recently though, oh except for the little number on the recent activity tag but I don't know whether that's my fault or not. All in all though it's just lovely to have this little place to pop into and I try to have a relaxed attitude to it. "

"Well back to the log in box, it was a little cagey for a bit, popping up and away. But found it easily enough. Once or twice when I was entering my info, it disappeared, but not lately. Sometimes moving around from place to place gets slow, but they say patience is a virtue and I try to be just that. No big problem. I think even a system such as this needs to blink once in awhile. Not to be facetous, just my observation about computers. Thank you for keeping up and making this an wonderful experience for us. Patsy"

"I wonder if any else is getting this. Over the last few days I've been finding moving around in the website is getting extremely slow. For example, if I click to go to My Bookshelf it takes a long time before the page is loaded or when I click to go back to the home page the same thing - a long delay in loading. I thought it might be just on my laptop but I get the same on my office computer at work. Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing this?"

"The site is fun and exciting. At first (3 years ago) I was very new to shorts stories, having 5 unpublished novels under the bed, and I tentatively began submitting. I am definately not a computer expert. As difficulties with pasteing arose, I was almost to give it all up. Gary and Fiona were the recipients of my frustration when it wouldn't work. They were so patient and efficient. Then last year I decided a PC with some TBites was in order for the battle with the internet. What a difference. Still get notices about a busy internet usage, but with improvement on your part and mine, we have a wonderful relationship. Who could dare ask for more. Thank you so much for this opportunity. "You done good" someone said somewhere. Complementary of course. "
