| Life Story: | I've loved writing poetry and stories ever since I can remember, have penned two novels, one when I was eight, and the other when I was nineteen, but they're mouldering somewhere I've forgotten... When I first joined 'Shortbread'I'd managed a third novel which I sent off to five publishers, but of course some turned me down and others never bothered to respond... Having had to attend 16 different schools up to the age of eleven, I never learned how to make or keep friends, because I was always 'The New Girl'; as a result I'm a bit of a loner, 'though I have now learned how to treat the few friends I have these days... It may be the reason I fell back on writing and fantasy so much. Now I belong to two writing groups, and an art group, and have loads of stories piling up inside me, plus dozens of others I've written over the years. At last I've managed to upload my profile picture; - this is 'The Spirit', which I painted on my sitting room wall in 2009; I'm amazed that he has become such an inspiration to me, and I can't help wondering how he could ever have come from my paint-brush. |

| Favourite Stories: | Same as above really; I have the full compendium of Anne of Green Gables, Heidi, Narnia and Jane Austen books, plus Black Beauty, The keeper of the Bees, The Water Babies... oh, my bookshelves are groaning with classics, and I've read them all. |
