I think that Adam’s idea of making himself a short list and then a decision at the end is the way that I am going to go. One vote the day before. It is so hard though but then again it wouldn’t mean much if it was easy. Again well done everyone who has entered they are super stories. I do think that some of them would be lovely illustrated.
The first time I voted for a couple. But the second competetion I have voted once. It was difficult, because they are all great, and I could give each one a vote, but that wouldn’t tally too well, would it. I will stick with one vote and read them all at sometime in the event. I’m sure our editors have a huge task with this, but it is well done. Thanks.
Patsy
Yes I am still trying hard to stick to one vote but it is terribly difficult - this goes back to the idea of waiting until all entries are in doesn’t it. I don’t know if anything came of the discussions I hope we will hear something soon. In the meantime well done everyone for the entries from all corners of the globe and it seems to me from every viewpoint as well - cheers - Diane
I didn’t have time to write an entry for this one - too busy with other stuff at the minute. I did email Fiona recently about another Christmas story I wrote which I’ve put into Kindle format. I’ve made it available on my blog (www.billrobertson55.wordpress.com) so that my friends and fellow Shortbread members could get it for free. If you do read it I would appreciate feedback or better yet, leave a review on Amazon which might encourage others to buy it!
I’m working my way through man but today’s flurry of activity after a quiet previous 5 or 6 days has created a bit of a backlog. I’m also considering voting only once: one member - one vote!! Did anything come of the competition forums or has discussion petered out? There’s too much for the small team at the nerve centre to do perhaps…
I’ve read ‘em all Mike, and voted for err, six, I think? Four more votes than I had intended to cast.
Incredibly diverse - funny, sad, irreverent, traditional and other words, too, I can’t bring to mind. Congratulations to all who have taken part, I have thoroughly enjoyed my Christmas story marathon read today.
