Write a short story based on any Queen song title, or based on a character called Fred!
Published 2 years ago
As today, 5th of September, would have been the 65th birthday of Queen's enigmatic front man, Freddie Mercury, Shortbread is running a writing competition based on any one of Queen's song titles, or, quite simply on someone called Fred, Freddie, or Frederick – a topical idea considering actor Dominic West's latest film role. So we're going to put you 'under pressure' and ask that your submission is no longer than 2000 words and that it is with us within 4 weeks, closing date Wednesday 5th October. Stories entered into this competition will NOT be edited, so please take care before submitting. All entries will be judged by the community using the new competition voting buttons! And make sure your friends all vote too, just post a comment to your wall when voting using Facebook!
We want you to 'break free', so we 'won't stop you now' - good luck!
