Summer's Here Writing Competition
After an unseasonably cold spring, it seems summer is finally here! (Although as I’m typing black rain clouds descend on Shortbread HQ… so perhaps summer is not here to stay.) Just in case our own Scottish summer is destined to be short lived, the ShortbreadStories team would like to read lots of stories which will transport us to sunnier climates. Paint us a postcard with just 2,500 words about how you plan to spend your summer, whether it’s at home or abroad. If a certain place has inspired you why not post a photo on our facebook wall or twitter feed. Entries should be submitted by the 24th of June. Voting will open then and close on the 26th of June. The three stories with the most votes will be shortlisted and the ShortbreadStories team will pick the winner.
How does this work?
Everyone has the ability to write a short story. Get involved and enter one of our short story writing competitions - you might even win a prize!
Browse the competitions on offer and make sure your story has already been successfully published on Shortbread. You can enter before submitting your story, just make sure to meet the deadline to be in with a chance of winning.
